Magammana Maha Vidyalaya is situated in the Western Province,Colombo District closed by Homagama town. There are about 827 students and most of them are from under privileged families. Most of the parents are uneducated and also they don’t have a good income for their living. As a result the students have to struggle a low to continue their education. They have to face many difficulties. Some of the students are living with step parents. As a result of these social conflicts some students are living with mental depression which affects greatly to their education.

Magammana Maha Vidyalaya is situated about 2.5 km away from Homagama town. It is on the main Homagama – Kiriwaththuduwa bus route. So it’s convenient place to travel.

The school is developing step by step specially during the last 7 years with the help of the government parents and well wishes. It’s our duty and responsibility to uplift this school in order to bring the younger generation acquire the competencies needed to build a virtuous society and to face the challengers at the future.

In today’s modern world , Information Technology plays a prominent role. Launching of the school web site paves the way towards effective communication with out- side world and can be considered as a great achievement of our school as a significant landmark of our I.C.T. unit as well.
